Musikallinjens Vårmusikal 2026: 89 Seconds to Midnight; A Musical Countdown

🇬🇧 Then and now. Yesterday and today. What if that was all we had left? What if tomorrow was no longer a certainty? What if everything that existed today and yesterday went up in smoke? In several big, blinding, ambercolored, rising clouds of smoke, sending shockwaves so strong it wipes out 90% of the human population? 

The musical ”89 Seconds to Midnight; A Musical Countdown” tells the story of Martyl Langsdorf, a well-known painter from the first half of the 1900’s. As the wife of Alexander Langsdorf, one of the brilliant scientists working on the Manhattan project, their family and fellow scientists face difficult moral challenges while battling the question: What have we done? 

We may think we know the story already, but what if we don’t? What if the story isn’t complete? This musical doesn’t solely focus on the men and women behind the scenes, but also on the people who survived a war that hasn’t even happened yet. The fate of the world now lies in their hands. And their time is now.

Musikalen ”89 Seconds to Midnight; A Musical Countdown” berättar historien om Martyl Langsdorf, en välkänd konstnär från första hälften av 1900-talet. Som hustru till Alexander Langsdorf, en av de briljanta forskarna som arbetar på Manhattanprojektet, står deras familj och forskarkollegor inför svåra moraliska utmaningar medan de tampas med frågan: Vad har vi gjort?

Vi kanske tror att vi känner till historien redan, men tänk om vi inte gör det? Tänk om historien inte är färdigskriven? Denna musikal fokuserar inte enbart på männen och kvinnorna bakom kulisserna, utan också på de människor som överlevt ett krig som inte ens har hänt än. Världens öde ligger nu i deras händer. Och deras tid är nu.
